Explain the dream with Christ.
Joe starts tripping and hallucinating off the medicine he receives. In his dream he encounters Christ. He meets Christ at a train station playing black jack with men who are about to go to the war. He realizes that the fate of the Tucson boy is different then the other men and that they will die and he wont. He then jumps out of the train window to catch up with Jesus who is hovering in the distance in the desert. Joe is scared to have to encounter something that is horrible, and worse than death which is suffering.

I dont know if Joe was scared, but I think he was regretful that he didn't stay on the train with the guys that died. I think that Joe would rather be dead than just a faceless torso without any senses. I think you are right about everything else, and maybe this though. Im not sure
I agree with The Original Gangsta, in that I don't think he was afraid and that he regretted leaving the train. I could be wrong, but that doesn't happen often...lol. But anyways, TUrkish Balla, tthis was a good blog. Keep it up boii
I am going to disagree and say Joe is scared of suffering. The reason why he leaves the train is to catch up with Christ so he can be spared of the suffering. If he wasn't scared, then the question is why wouldn't he just stay on the train?
Also, the fact that Joe wants mercy is an important point. He knows that he has it worse than all of the other men on the train, thus he wants Christ, who can supposedly do anything, to save him. However, when Christ loses at the Blackjack game, we see a weakness that maybe Christ cannot do everything. Thus, it is possible that Joe will not get mercy, and in the end, he somewhat doesn't.
I conquer with Turk. Nice jobe buddy.l also agree that Joe was afraid and that he did regret leaving. In my blog i said that Christ and Joe were similar becasue they both died and in a way came back. Nice blog Batu keep up the good work.
Nice blog Batu, in my blog I argued that Christ may be vulnerable to the same 'luck' and 'fate' as humans are. It is interesting that Christ loses in blackjack but can make whiskey appear out of nowhere.
