What does Joe want and why is it against regulations?
Joe wants to get out of the hospital. He has been trying to communicate with Morse code to the nurses but they couldn’t translate it. They eventually found someone that could help to understand what he was saying. All really wants is to be normal and go out into the world again. He wants all his limbs back, and wants to show people what war did to him. When he asks to go they let him down and say that he isn’t allowed. If the hospital let him out people would see the horrific things that war does to people, and this could potentially scare them. This would restrict other people from wanting to join the military and go to war.

Nice blog Batu. I agree with what you wrote that if Joe is seen by policy makers or children then that will scare them and make the policy makers look bad and give the children a bad perspective on war. The hospital wants to silence Joe so the world doesn't see what war can do. This is the opposite of the 'This I Believe' activity that we did in class.
