Jody’s true personality is revealed in Eatonville. Explain why he is allowed to act the way he acts.
Jody and Janie move to Eatonville so Jody can have his big voice. Jody buys 200 acres for this small town that was constructed by black people. He then sets up the town gradually by starting city offices and becomes mayor. Jody was controlling in his lead so people followed him because he seemed to take control. The only problem with his leadership now is he is becoming very controlling, and Janie doesn’t like it al all.
